Cloud, hosting and IT for businesses
Your applications connect staff, customers and other systems. We consider those connections alongside location, access rules and required IP resources.
| Connection | Important details | Verification |
|---|---|---|
| User to application | Locations, devices and expected use | Response time across the complete workflow |
| Application to application | Integrations, data volumes and windows | Access rules, transfer and error handling |
| Administrator to system | Authorised people and access method | Authentication, logging and revocation |
A public shop, internal administration and data exchange between applications have different requirements. Start by identifying who needs which services. This defines access, addressing and connectivity requirements. A high port speed alone says little about the performance of an entire business workflow.
Decide which services need internet access. Domains, DNS, certificates and required ports belong in the same plan.
Administrative access needs assigned permissions and a suitable access method. Internal connections should not become public merely for convenience.
Organisations operating external infrastructure may require IPv4, IPv6 or an ASN. Resource provision, routing and ongoing administration should be considered separately.
Not for every server. An ASN becomes relevant where an independent routing design requires it. Prerequisites, resources and operation need technical assessment.
Using several data centres does not imply a particular connection or resilience for your project. Its architecture is planned and agreed separately.
